She is survived by her Sister Melvina Allen. younger brother Art Stewart and Ruslyn's only child William Brandt and a host of nieces and nephews. Her commitment to her country and fellow service members was unwavering, and her military service was a true testament to her strength and resilience. She was an avid basketball and softball enthusiast, finding joy in the camaraderie and competition these games offered. Running around the deck of the ship she was on, she found solace and freedom. Ruslyn also had a penchant for watching cage boxing and indulging in old black-and-white movies like "Viking" and "The Ten Commandments." Her love for travel led her to explore new places by car, relishing in the sights and sounds that passed by her window. A memorable trip to San Francisco to see Alcatraz and savor the local cuisine was one of her cherished adventures. Described as very athletic, outgoing, and funny, Ruslyn had a magnetic personality that drew people towards her. Her friendly nature and million-dollar smile made her a joy to be around, and she cherished spending time with loved ones. She loved hosting gatherings where she could enjoy grilled delicious meals and create lasting memories with friends and family. Ruslyn's favorite foods included sausage chicken jambalaya and fried chicken breast, reflecting her appreciation for hearty and flavorful dishes. Her love for life and laughter were infectious, and she will be remembered for her positive outlook and ability to connect with others with ease.
