Kathryn "Kathy" Lynn Carpenter

Kathy was born on September 14, 1958, in Hemet California. She was the oldest of six children born to Joe and Linda Carpenter. Kathy attended San Jacinto High School where she did well and enjoyed school. She was also on the drill team for the school's sports program. She was a proud San Jacinto Tiger. She graduated in 1976 and shortly thereafter moved to San Diego, California, with her family. Kathy was a family person and loved her whole family completely. She especially loved all her nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She dedicated much of her life to help care for, keep safe and nurture, with endless patience, all these children, who were so dear to her. Kathy had many talents and interests. She was a theater critic for several publications for many years and had a large following who enjoyed and respected her reviews. She was a collector, and had an incredible collection of Barbie Dolls, and Faeries. She loved butterfly's, hearts, and flowers. She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, games and Words with Friends. She was a member of Romance Writers of America for many years. She was an avid sports fan of the San Diego Padres and SDSU Softball. Shy as a child Kathy pushed herself time & time again to remove the boundaries that tried to hold her back from pursuing her goals. She loved going to the movies, and plays; she never tired of it, it was her joy and as a theater critic she wrote hundreds of reviews. Because she was always able to take a guest, many of her family & friends had a whole world of entertainment opened up to them that they most likely would never have ventured out to do. She had an entrepreneurial spirit and was part owner of the “Carpenter Family Game Products”. She was a published author, and a certified media specialist. She was a true visionary. Kathy was a committed parishioner of St. John of the Cross Catholic Church, and could be seen just about every Sunday at the 5:00 mass. Kathy was preceded in death by her dad Joe. Together under God's grace they will now watch over their earthly family, mom, sisters, brothers, nephews, nieces, great nephews, great nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends.
